Terms of Participation

What Pomona ACTS is providing to you

  • Clean energy appliances with a value of up to $2,500.

  • A support network to answer questions about how to use your new appliances.

  • We are not able to offer any additional warranties, guarantees, or repairs on the appliances beyond what is provided by the manufacturer.

What’s Required of You

  • Keep and use the appliances we provide. Do not gift them to others or resell them.

  • Provide a testimonial about your new appliances after 1-2 months of use. You may provide your testimonial via voice memo, video interview, or by speaking at an in-person Pomona ACTS community event.

  • Participate in a few brief surveys to share feedback on your experience.

  • Consent to receive text messages and/or emails from Pomona ACTS about your appliances. You can opt out of other Pomona ACTS emails at any time using the “unsubscribe” button at the bottom of our email messages.

Media Release 

We are collecting testimonials, photos, and videos from program participants to help spread the word about Pomona ACTS. Photos and videos captured may be shared via social media, our website, email newsletters, media outlets and publications, and printed marketing materials.

By participating in this program, you are consenting to and authorizing the use by The Energy Coalition, its affiliates, directors, officers, agents, and employees (collectively “TEC”) of your name, image, voice, and/or likeness as follows:

  • TEC may take photographs, make audio-visual recordings, and create other works that include your name, image, voice and/or likeness (collectively, “Media”) while you participate in the Pomona ACTS appliance giveaway and share your experiences.

  • TEC will owns all Media and has the unrestricted right to publish, copyright, re-publish, adapt, exhibit, perform, reproduce, edit, modify, make derivative works, distribute, display or otherwise use or reuse Media in any and all mediums including but not limited to print, television, radio, and internet for any and all purposes, including use by third parties with whom TEC may engage in joint marketing, with no remuneration or compensation to me.

  • You must assign and convey, without limitation, to TEC all the right, title, and interest I may have in or to any and all Media. By participating, you are acknowledging receipt of good and valuable consideration in exchange for this release, including but not limited to my participation in Pomona ACTS.

  • You must release, discharge, and acquit TEC from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action that you may hereafter have against TEC—whether for libel, violation of right of privacy, or anything else—by reason of the use of my name, image, likeness, or voice in connection with the aforementioned Media or publicity pertaining thereto.
