EV Chargers and EV Adoption
Expanding EV Access for a Cleaner Pomona
Pomona ACTS is working to make electric vehicle (EV) adoption more accessible and practical for our Pomona community. By expanding charging infrastructure and educating residents on the benefits of EVs, this project supports cleaner air, lower emissions, and a healthier city for all.
Powering Up Local EV Access
New EV Charging Infrastructure
This project will install, operate, and maintain two (2) publicly accessible DC fast chargers at Centennial Park, conveniently located in central Pomona. These chargers join the recently installed Level 2 chargers at Palomares Park, making EV ownership more convenient—especially for residents without home charging access.
Promoting EV Adoption Through Outreach
Alongside new infrastructure, Pomona ACTS will launch a community outreach campaign to raise awareness of:
The health and environmental benefits of switching to EVs
The convenience of local charging access
Available resources and programs that support EV adoption
This campaign will help residents make informed decisions about cleaner transportation options while encouraging a broader shift toward sustainable mobility.
Cleaner Transportation for a Healthier Future
By supporting both EV access and education, this project moves Pomona closer to a zero-emissions future—where clean air and equitable access to green technology go hand in hand.
Rebate Programs
Looking to save on your next car purchase, or install an EV charger for your home?
Southern California Edison (SCE) offers up to $4,000 in rebates for customers buying or leasing an eligible pre-owned EV, and up to $4,200 for EV charger installation for single-family residences.
