E-Bike Library
Powering Up Pomona with Free E-Bikes
Pomona ACTS is launching a community-centered E-Bike Library Program to give residents safe, affordable, and sustainable alternatives to driving. This program puts electric bikes directly into the hands of community members—reducing emissions, lowering transportation costs, and promoting healthier, more active travel.
Expanding Access to Active Transportation
Free E-Bike Lending
Up to 100 e-bikes will be provided each year at no cost to residents in the project area. These e-bikes will be available for long-term lending, giving community members the opportunity to incorporate biking into their daily lives.
Program offerings include:
Standard e-bikes and cargo e-bikes for carrying kids, groceries, or gear
Helmets and locks included for safety and security
An e-bike voucher program providing $2,000 to help eligible residents purchase an e-bike at a reduced cost
Education, Safety & Demonstration Events
To ensure riders feel confident and informed, the Pomona ACTS program will host:
E-bike safety workshops
Community demonstration events
Hands-on education about riding, care, and traffic safety
Tracking the Impact
This project is more than a mobility program—it’s a tool for climate action. By evaluating vehicle miles traveled (VMT) reduction, the program will measure how replacing car trips with e-bike rides can support a more sustainable Pomona.
