Displacement Avoidance Plan (DAP)

Housing Stability and Tenant Protections

The City of Pomona is undergoing transformative growth, bringing new opportunities and advancements to the community. To ensure that all residents and local businesses can thrive amidst these changes, the Displacement Avoidance Plan (DAP), led by Day One, will provide essential tools and knowledge to promote housing stability, local ownership, and community connections.

Day One, the organization leading this effort, has over 30 years of experience working alongside residents, youth, elected officials, and community partners to build healthy, vibrant neighborhoods through public health advocacy, youth engagement, and community-driven change.

The following are key offerings:

Informational sessions and workshops: Residents can stay informed on tenant rights, financial literacy, and pathways to homeownership, empowering them with proper information to make informed decisions.

Small Business Support: Local entrepreneurs and small business owners can receive guidance and resources to strengthen their enterprises, foster economic resilience, and promote local ownership.

Legal Support: Tenants facing housing challenges will have access to legal support, which includes representation and tools to navigate and resolve issues effectively.

We’re Here to Help

Day One is here to help you stay informed and protected. If you’re facing an eviction notice, experiencing a sudden rent increase, or need help reporting a landlord issue, our team can walk you through your options and connect you with the right resources. We can also help you understand your tenant rights and guide you through the process of filing a petition with the City of Pomona.

Visit us in-person at the Day One office (175 E. Second St., Pomona, CA 91766) or reach out to Marcos Molina, Community Resilience Coordinator, for direct support in meeting at an accessible location.
